Hello lovely Parents and Happy Friday!
It’s been a whirlwind of a month and we have had so much happening in such a short time! We have concluded our simple machines exploration, said goodbye to our dear Ms. Marlena, raised $1,000 for the bees, learned a few more Secret Stories, and began our final exploration for the year on water!
This week, we began our water exploration with a few questions to ponder. What is water? What happens to water when the temperature changes? How can we use water in a creative way? Where do we find water? Etc. Everyone took a few minutes to think about their question and afterwards we discussed as a class what we thought. Lucky for us, it rained a bit this week which got us talking all about precipitation, condensation, and evaporation again, too! How cool is it that water can be all three: a solid, liquid, and a gas?! We came up with a few experiments we want to try next week that will be a bit messy so please make sure your child has a change of clothes here!
Our class is ROCKING out to our end of the year songs! I usually like to keep it a surprise, but some of your kiddos asked me to let you know what song we’re singing so they can practice at home. Love the initiative! We are singing Dance, Dance, Dance by The Beach Boys! Here is the version we are using: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_rCmEXaycc
